The hard part of mentorship isn't finding the person. It's being coachable once you do — taking the correction, doing the unglamorous thing they told you to do, and reporting back.
Learning to sell was the skill that unlocked everything else. Rejection, communication, understanding people, creating value, learning how to ask and how to close. None of it came naturally. All of it was taught.
Find the person who's already where you're trying to go, then earn their time by actually doing the work.
